            Christmas
                                Fantasy
Sparkle surrounds us this joyous time of the year, from the bright street decorations to the crystal sugar on the cookies sitting on the counter tops. Christmas is the time we let our visions of fantasy express themselves in our homes.  For some it is the pine cones and the evergreens, complimented by the bright red of ribbons and bows with a sprinkling of holly berries.  For others it is the flash of silver and gold set with the dazzle of crystals and lights.  No other time of the year allows us the opportunity to add so much glitz and glitter to our lives.

The most traditional form of decoration for this holiday season is the Christmas tree. Whatever size room you have there is a perfect tree to adorn it, whether it is a two foot or a twelve foot tree. If you have your heart set on the trendiest colors check out the ornament displays in your local department stores. You might find a color combination that inspires you.  Maybe an aqua and silver dream come true or maybe...

A tree full of beautiful glass birds would
transport you to a magical Christmas forest.

For a fun surprise try tucking a beautiful Christmas elf into the branches of your traditionally    decorated tree.

Add some surprises in your home to entice your holiday guest and delight the young or the young at heart.  Smaller themed trees can add holiday spirit to all the rooms in your home such as a kitchen, guest room or a bath. If you have a more contemporary style home you might enjoy a retro aluminum tree with hot pink and pistachio green ornaments.
The idea here is to have fun.

While you are decorating the house add a touch of Christmas to unexpected areas like a window ledge or the top of a grandfather clock. These unlikely decorated areas will catch your eye adding more holiday spirit to your home. It is also easy to add these                                                                                             smaller touches over the whole house.
Try adding a little Christmas elf  sitting                                                                                            on the edge of a stairway step at eye level                                                                                            or on the edge of the bottom step to
be seen as your guests enter your home.

If you have a collection of teddy bears dress them with bright bows and group them on a small  table with a few small gift wrapped boxes and maybe a poinsettia. Dress your wall sconces with sparkle by adding ribbon and crystal garland.

For an elegant holiday dinner add sparkle to your table not only with crystal goblets and silver flatware but with ribbons, faux jewels, tea lights set in reflective holders and any other ornaments you fancy. If you want to create fantasy use items in unusual ways, let your imagination work magic. Sprinkle faux jewel stones on the table top for sparkle.  Place some Christmas ornaments at the base of candles.  Hang decorations from the chandelier.  Add a colored sheer Christmas fabric over that white tablecloth.

Recruit family members to help decorate the table for a Christmas dinner to remember.

From simply elegant to true fantasy this is a celebration

for all to enjoy.
