The kitchen on the right is the original builder kitchen built in 2002. Typical of most builder kitchens the space was not used efficiently and the storage and work areas were limited. Notice the large build-out housing the microwave and oven in the before photo. This area was bulky and housed wasted space. Removing this area increased the workspace by several feet both linear and vertical. The cooktop was moved to the left increasing the working counter and cabinet space to the right. Adding a corner display cabinet added sparkle and used the before wasted corner space. The bottom corner space now houses a sturdy Lazy Susan further increasing storage space. To the left of the cooktop there is now new countertop space under the microwave cabinet. At the end near the windows a desk has been added where there was only dead space before. Adding the desk allowed a design element that did not add more visual weight along the wall. Above the desk is another decorative display cabinet adding a lighter feel with the sparkle and style of glass doors. The under counter cabinets are a mixture of drawers and cabinets to allow more efficient storage and access. The oven has been moved under the cooktop pulling all the cooking equipment into a single compact space.

Custom pantry doors replaced the original white doors.

Decorative elements were added to further enhance the beauty and richness of the kitchen. Notice the channeled post on the sides of the oven and the drawer cabinets below. Also the backsplash design above the cooktop adds an accent that will have lasting appeal.

The island is both beautiful and functional. Both ends of the island have double panels installed to give it the look of fine furniture. Both side of the island include a series of six drawers and six cabinets. This doubles the storage space available in the island. An added bonus is items can be stored on the side of the kitchen in which they are most used. There is no wasted space in this island.
